What should I cover in my essay?
The essay should highlight a current obstacle in your life and explain how the scholarship award will help overcome it as well as describe how higher education will help you become an inspirational success story.
Are there any additional details I need to include with my essay?
Please list: (a) the best e-mail address to contact you at, (b) the name of your high school and your high school GPA on a 4.0 scale, (c) and the name of the college or university that you are attending or expect to attend and your college GPA on a 4.0 scale through last semester. If you are selected for the scholarship, you may be asked to give us permission to verify with your high school and college administration the GPAs you have submitted and verify your admission to the college you have indicated.
Are incoming freshman eligible to apply?
Yes. When filling out the “Current GPA” section of your application, please indicate that the GPA provided is your high school GPA.
Are incoming freshman eligible to apply?
Yes. High school seniors that have already been accepted into an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply.
